Warning Possible telemarketing scam using your MC info!

I just got off the phone with a man from Pakistan wanting to offer me his company's services as a telemarketer. I really don't need a telemarketer and told him so. I finally got it through his head that I am definitely not a candidate for their services so he asked if he could send me an e-mail on his company's service. I agreed that he could send me the e-mail and he then proceeded to ask me my e-mail address after he told me he had my contact information!

Well that was it. I know better. I told him if he did not have it I certainly wasn't going to give it to him. He could not seem to understand until I told him I was a Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist at which time I got a hurried thank you and a click of the phone hanging up. I thought it was funny to begin with that someone is calling all the way from Pakistan to Texas to solicit little old me. The fact that this "business has a blocked number didn't help either.

So I did a search and found out that there is an actual business with this name but it is not based in Pakistan as the caller claimed. If you are on Merchant Circle there is a chance that this individual will call you too, since he called my sister on her business phone immediately after hanging up with me.

If he calls just tell him you use me! and make the bad man go away. lol

Always check out companies out and ask for references.

I'll have to remember that line myself!

Usually I get the telcos or charities looking for money.

Telcos - "I won't move if it means signing for a plan..."

Charities - "Sorry ... I don't do that over the phone."
