Just going through some of those old notes I have stashed away for some-time-I-must-do-something-with-that and enjoying all over some of the bits and pieces that impressed me the first time around. One of the things that I don't like so much about audio presentations, is the lack of a transcript. Give me both, and I'm happy as a clam!
My notes are a bit of a challenge, as I write them fast while listening to the podcast, and and I blame my years-ago classes in shorthand for rendering my handwriting to almost illegible status. Nevertheless, I have managed to track down the fact that these notes were of a podcast by none other than Jim Rohn. Lesson 1 - name and date those notes that I make in future!
While the broadcast was in the context of network marketing, there really is no discernible difference in a practical sens, between working with a team in an MLM environment, and working with the team here on TeamCircle. Other than we aren't making money off each other. In most ways that count, I'd like to think that we share some fraternity and an interest in each other's success.
Some items that spoke to me, that I think would be of value to share here...
The Magic of Part Time
If you are working your business part time, set some goals.
Your Personal Philosophy
What you believe in that will keep you going through the future.
Knowing what this is.. will help you to keep going no matter what.
"Profits are better than wages.
Wages make you a living.
Profits make you a fortune."
Start your miracle working business part time and remember "I'm working full time on my job and part time on my fortune...but it won't be long until I'm working full time on my fortune."
1st Goal
Make same number of $ on business as you are making in your full time job.
2nd Goal
Make twice as much money working in your business, as you make in your full time job.
Share your story with anyone who will listen. They will be interested to know more about your business, and interest in our business is what we are all seeking as we network. Your part time business - and your attitude to your business, be it part time or full time, is the key to an invitation to tell your story.
It's Not What Happens That Determines Your Life... It's What You Do About It.
'The same wind blows on us all..."
The same circumstances, political and economic environment, social pressures...
"... but it is not the blowing of the wind but the set of the sails".
That will lead our results.
Correct the errors of the past, and pick up some new disciplines. The next two years could be dramatically different from the two - if you wish it to. If you know that it is possible!
