Lindy Asimus On Facebook Page

Facebook has evolved quite a bit since I joined up and I'm pleased for the most part, with the changes that have been made. One of the improvements, from a business point of view, is the introduction of the Fan Pages. While they lack a few features of the old Groups, they are easy to set up and get underway. Unfortunately there is still no clean step-through from a personal page to a fan page. Does it matter? Hmm. I might think that one through a bit more. TeamCircle has a fan page now, and I… Continue

Business Coaching Tip: 1

It can be strangely difficult to know what our core values are. Being able to understand what is important to us in our values, makes it easier to detect when we are living those values in life, or living according to someone else's values. You deserve to live your own life. Make your own choices based on… Continue

Chunk Size - Bites of Information

Communication would be easy if we were all the same. But we are not. For some of us, in order for us to understand something new, it is important to know what the whole 'thing' looks like from if we were in a helicopter looking down and could see it all laid out before us. So we know what the overview is before we attempt to understand the details.

Collaborating To Compete

The Olden Days ... Once-upon-a-time there was a notion in the business community that it was a good idea to attempt to be all things to all people. Of course since you are here and you are still reading, its likely that you will understand this simple observation. Specializing... in everything...is what used to be called Generalizing. Whichever way you cut it, if you are doing 'Everything', you are doing some things better than others. Unfortunately people in business need you to be the best… Continue

Spring Clean For Business

I wrote this a while back and thought I'd add it here. We are nearing the end of winter now in Australia so I thought it might be timely. I welcome your feedback. Time to deal with my cluttered garage. Arrggh!. Garages are supposed to be for more than collecting junk in, aren't they? I try... but I admit, it is not my strong suit. But in a kind of zen-ish, meditation-like exercise, I get to it and find that my mind at least, can become free of the mundane task, and begins to wander. Wanderin… Continue

How Do You Use Social Media?

I've been putting a workshop together for small business in our local area, and in the course of doing this, I am reminded just how much information there is to cover - and how little time there is to go over so much ground. So I think the workshop will be somewhat 'broad brush' i… Continue

Customer Service - Simple Is Good

We read headlines all the time about customer service and how we need to provide good service, and I'd be the first to say Get Good Systems in place! Make it happen. Sometimes we get a reminder though that good customer service doesn't need to be complex. Sometimes it is just a reflection of some individual, taking some action off their own initiative and doing something as requested. Not hard, not all that earth-shattering - except we have come to the time where someone doing this basic thing… Continue
