Hello Retailers! I'm looking for small boutiques that's interested in carrying my Personalized BagTags. Perhaps, we can work together. My bagtags are unique, creative and durable. They can be attached to anything you carry and for any age group. Please feel free to visit my website: www.bagtagsusa.com

Here's an interesting quote:

Why for so many retailers that file under Chapter 11 FAIL TO SEE WHAT NEEDS FIXING...?

"I have found that retailers often give lip service to what they find and know about their business, but are so ingrained with the merchant philosophy that elements outside of directly moving a product off the shelf are secondary. My experience indicates that there is only one retailer in the U.S. that sees their business as a complete system of moving goods to the consumer at an efficient cost: Walmart."

I'd have to say that is my experience. Many small business owners, and particularly retailers, tend to focus on the areas of their business that they know the best - and ignore the other areas that are not so much understood. Those very areas that left inadequately resourced and attended to, can lead to very bad results.

That's a great observation Janet - these things DO find their way into the searches, and that's a great bonus! Now if we can just increase the members by a little each, and increase the participation by a little from each... BINGO!

Yes, in this difficult economy, I've been working on spreading our company's name & services offered (Jewelry repair, special orders, appraisals, & ear piercing) everywhere. It's better to be a bigger fish in a little pond than a little fish lost in the sea of regular jewelers. It takes a lot of work, but we do get calls from the local searches, including results from MC, Google, & Yahoo local. We always ask our customers to write a review - it helps. That Cartier article was interesting - I'm not sure how to do a MySpace Page, or if it's appropriate...?

Hi all,
Retailing is a challenging business to be in during this time. Florists, like myself, especially find ourselves fighting for customers with internet middlemen we generally call order gatherers, or OGs in short. These OGs represent themselves as local florists and are usually ranked higher in local listings than the local florists. Our other competitors are the grocery stores, so we have a fewer walk-ins than ever before. I find that getting involved in MC gets my site ranking higher, thanks for having team circle available for better networking and connecting with others.

I'm sure you'll have a lot of helpful posts to make on that. Tips to the board are a great way for everyone to share - and save having to do them over and over again 'one-off'.

In relation to the post about spreading your business across the internet it take some work, some very tedious SEO and adding yourself to everything you can think of. if i google myself i get over 300 results but that took alot of time and work if you would like tips and suggestions on how to do that feel free to email call or chat
