I've been considering putting together some ebooks, since they are an essential toolkit for any business owner to have and share their expertise. As I've pondered the topic, it occurs to me that there is no shortage of material available. Making it accessible is the bigger issue.

And I got to thinking about each and every member on TeamCircle and thinking what their ebooks would look like, and what would be contained within their pages... and what would have to happen for the members to have created their own ebook now and promote on their site and collectively, what a great bank of information that would represent.

So here's what I came up with. I am happy to work with members to bring their ebook to life. I am guessing we may have some VAs who might lend a hand too, and my challenge it to the members to step forward if they think this is something that they are ready to do now, and get this turned into a project. If there is an interest in this, I'll probably start a group so we can work on some ideas collectively, as well as individually.

Post your interest here, and let's get started!

Hi Lindy. I was wondering what type of information would you be looking for from TeamCircle members to be featured in the ebook? Input about each members area of expertise? Business experiences? Strategies?.....

I guess I need to be more clear. I mean that you have your own ebook! For each of those interested in doing so.

Sorry, I was a little confused on that. My brain must not be working right at this late hour on the East Coast. Thank you for clarifying that for me. The ebook sounds like a great idea.

I like your idea too! And a TeamCircle book would be excellent to have too! We need a bit more critical mass first I think, so we can explore some great projects with members first. Like this ebook project!

I can see all manner of things that we could roll out over time to work on. All we need is the members who want to Champion a topic, and eager members looking to build their business.

Here's a starter thought for those considering their own ebook -

What topic might I choose for my ebook?

What do I want readers to learn and benefit from reading the ebook?

What will they be able to do/understand after they read the ebook that they may not know before they read it?

And of course - it doesn't have to be 50 pages long!

Do you think that new businesses, such as myself, would have alot/enough to contribute in the form of an ebook to be of interest to readers?

Well that's hard for me to say Brian. I rather think that someone who is new to a business, one that has some history, may have some valuable insight for new people who might be starting out, and have found a lot of interesting facts and information along the way that others may find of interest. If you are recruiting other members to your team, then they will surely learn something from your experiences.

But your ebook doesn't need to be about "your business" as such. It may be something that is related to your business and what you do, but informative generally too. I think that is essential - an ebook not be a thinly-disguised advertisement, but offer something of genuine value.

Thank you for that insight and food for thought. I have been diligently working on the value aspect in recent months. Trying to expand my knowledge of not only my specialty area but complimentary areas as well to be of more value to the people I serve. Thank you for sharing your wisdom and ideas with us all. You are a very inspirational person and you have helped to expand my thinking.

Hi Lindy,

that is a great idea. I am thinking about it. If I have an idea than writing is easy. I like the idea of a Team Circle e-book as well.

Hi Lindy,

Take an energy pill, Brian. ****PLUG FOR BRIAN= HERBALIFE**** The product is great! I started on Total Control, and Brian I need a bottle. I need to place an order today. I don't do liquid for meals...tried that with Slimfast, so I'm going with the pills right now... The chocolate protein bar was GOOD! I thought, "oh no, yuck yuck", but it was great!***

OKAY...sorry...ebook...Very neat idea. I'm in. It's okay to take naps while you're reading mine. Mine will be about the benefits of failure. Lindy, talked to you about that one. Failure lends to experience. You learn. Life's a beach....that kind of stuff. I highly doubt everyone just got off the Herbalife truck, BRIAN. You worked before you started doing this!

Hehe. You know some people actually believe you can life without failing at some time. I think the only way that is possible, is to never try. Ulimately that can only lead to a failure to grow.

Oh, and failure...I have no intention of letting this business fail. My husband will get mad (that man is a Saint to deal with me everyday.) HAHAHA...There will be things that I fail to do, people I fail to click with, and projects that are just doomed, but they're all things that make me more determined. The failures lead to a better understanding of where I'm going and what my niche is with this new business.
